Today, in Kenya, several young people lack aspiration in STEM fields, both in academia and industry. They don’t see opportunity for their futures in these fields which consequently leads to impeded socio-economic development and further stigmatisation of STEM careers. A contributing factor for such poor perception is the lack of sustained collaborations between the education sectors and industry to showcase STEM pathways in positive light.
